Lyrics

Hard At Work (At Hardly Working)

Lyric: Kevin Reardon & George Smith; Music: Kevin Reardon & Tim Koerber; Copyright 2015

Verse
We’re having too much fun getting nothing done
Sitting and soaking in the nice warm sun
Checking out the scenery and drinking a long cold one
Kicking back; loving life; laughing with all my friends, alright

Chorus
We’re hard at work at hardly working (hard at work at hardly working)
Toughing it out, there ain’t no shirking (toughing it out; ain’t no shirking)
All week long we toe that line; when the weekend comes, it’s party time
We’re hard at work at hardly working, and putting in an overtime day

Verse
My team’s in town for an afternoon game
I got a pair of tickets from ol' what's-his-name
Missing this one would be a crying shame
Gotta get there in time for the first pitch, out in the bleachers with my catchers mitt

Chorus
We’re hard at work at hardly working (hard at work at hardly working)
Toughing it out, there ain’t no shirking (toughing it out; ain’t no shirking)
All week long we toe that line; when the weekend comes, it’s party time
We’re hard at work at hardly working, and putting in an overtime day
(spoken) Ahh, let’s go to work

Verse
We’re having too much fun getting nothing done
Up at a buddy’s lake house and out from under the gun
Fishing and floating; drinking a few cold ones
The grill is hot, the whole gang’s here; we’re filling up on dogs and beer

Chorus
We’re hard at work at hardly working (hard at work at hardly working)
Toughing it out, there ain’t no shirking (toughing it out; ain’t no shirking)
All week long we toe that line; when the weekend comes, it’s party time
We’re hard at work at hardly working, and putting in an overtime day
All week long we toe that line; when the weekend comes, it’s party time
We’re hard at work at hardly working, and putting in an overtime day
