Lyrics
Verse
I went around with lots of girls and many I have kissed
But when they all went on their way, you’re the one I missed
Chorus
And, I never saw it coming, like a bolt out of the blue
No, I never saw it coming, but I’m glad it came from you
Verse
When you came back in the springtime like the swallows do out west
You said of all the boys you know, you love me the best
Chorus
And, I never saw it coming, like a bolt out of the blue
No, I never saw it coming, but I’m glad it came from you
Verse
We went to see your Ma and Pa, as happy as could be
They looked me over once or twice, said you could marry me
Chorus
And, I never saw it coming, like a bolt out of the blue
No, I never saw it coming, but I’m glad it came from you
Verse
We stood before the preacher, in that chapel on the hill
You know I loved you way back then, and girl, I love you still
Chorus
And, I never saw it coming, like a bolt out of the blue
No, I never saw it coming, but I’m glad it came from you
No, I never saw it coming, but I’m glad it came from you
