I Can't Wait For Christmas

Lyrics

Verse
I’m gonna bake some gingerbread cookies and hang some mistletoe
Nail a few stockings to the fireplace and a wreath upon the door
And I think I’ll string some popcorn and get out the ornaments
Play some old time Christmas songs over and over again

Chorus
I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait for Christmas
I can’t wait, I won’t wait, I can’t wait for Christmas
I’m ready to make my holiday wish list
I can’t wait for Christmas

Verse
There’s nothing better than colored lights dancing in the windows
A little fake snow all over the porch and a yard of pink Flamingos
I love the feel of the winter chill and the energy it brings
The shopping and hot chocolate and the sound when sleighbells ring

Chorus
I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait for Christmas
I can’t wait, I won’t wait, I can’t wait for Christmas
I’m ready to make my holiday wish list
I can’t wait for Christmas

Verse
When it’s barely past the 4th of July, I’m humming holiday tunes
On Labor Day I celebrate that Christmas’ll be here soon
I start stringing lights in my front yard the day after Halloween
And when Thanksgiving dinner’s done, we decorate our tree

Chorus
I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait for Christmas
I can’t wait, I won’t wait, I can’t wait for Christmas
I’m ready to make my holiday wish list
I can’t wait for Christmas
No, I can’t wait for Christmas
